FAQ's

How long are the walks?

Our group walks are a minimum of 20 minutes each time. When the weather is nice and if time allows we love to spend more time playing in the field .

Will my dog be secure while off the lead during the walks in the field?

Our field is fully fenced off with fence panels of at least 6ft high. There is also CCTV all around the property.

My dog does not get on with other dogs. Can you have him/her?

Before any long stay, we always do a trial of a couple of nights which gives us a chance to see if your dog is happy in kennels generally and how they get on with the other dogs. At the end of this we have a long chat with the owner and decide together what is best for your dog. However, if your dog is not friendly with other dogs, unfortunately, we can not accommodate them as time does not allow for extra single walks.

Do cats get a lot of attention?

We allocate 2 time slots for one-to-one cuddles with your cats whilst in our care. Two  times per day we let each cat (or more if sharing the same room) out to explore the whole of our cattery, we have a little play or brush or just a cuddle depending on each cat’s personality. This exercise has proven to help them settle in a lot quicker and easier and we’ve had great success over the years with some of our very shy visitors.

Do you provide food?

Yes, we do provide good quality food for both cats and dogs and it is included in our daily rate.

Can I bring my own food?

If your pet is on a special diet you might wish to bring your own food. Our daily rate will remain the same.

Can I bring some toys/chews/blanket/own bed?

Yes, that’s absolutely fine. We actually encourage this as we believe it helps your pet settle in. We do advise owners to be careful when it comes to some chews.

My dog is on a raw diet. Can I bring that in?

Yes, that is absolutely fine. There is a fridge/freezer in our pets kitchen and we are able to accommodate that.

What is your cancellation policy?

Day of arrival, day of departure and all days booked are charged for - as we do not ask you to vacate by a certain time. However, we do make a concession of half a day reduction for pets collected by 11:00am.  £50 booking fee will be charged to secure your booking. This is non-refundable. We do not give credit for early returns you will be charged for the period booked
Due to problems in the past with no shows and last minute cancellations at peak periods (see below) we now require a £50 non refundable deposit per pet. All other periods a non refundable deposit of £25 per pet will be charged

Can I have a look around your kennels/cattery?

Yes, we welcome viewings Mon to Sat 2:00pm - 3:30pm.

Please note that we are closed for the public (still here looking after our guests are usual) during Bank Holidays. Also, during busy periods (summer time, Christmas time, half terms, bank holiday weekends) we can not accommodate viewings due to a very busy schedule and the fact that it is very disturbing for our dogs. Please make sure you arrange your viewings in advance to avoid any disappointment, Thank you for your understanding.

Should I bring my dog along for the viewing?

No, please do not bring your dog when viewing our facilities as the other dogs find it very upsetting.
